FEMINISM

The feminist movements of the 1960s and 1970s caused profound changes in public perception and mentalities , favoring the independence of women . Female magicians return to the forefront starring on stages and cabarets .
In 1964 , at age eleven , the young Viviane Mireldo presented , a classical magic number at the Cirque Médrano . In 1966 , she signed a contract to work at the Musée Grévin in Paris and in the 1970s , she “ boxed ” her male partners at the Lido de Paris with her feminist magic .
A woman who stands out for her poetic and melancholic presentation is Tina Lenert ( born in 1948 ) with her act : A dream that becomes reality . Tina also practices mime and harp which she intertwines within her magic .
In the 1970s , with the help of the great actor Cary Grant , she co-founded the Junior Magic Program at Magic Castle and she is actively involved in that program to date . She is a magic creator and consultant and she has designed illusions for Criss Angel , David Copperfield , Lance Burton and Collins Key . She was also a motivational speaker . At age 35 , Diana stopped performing onstage and created the highly successful CMS Communications , Intl ., a communications agency - marketing and corporate event production company booking many magicians and often including magic effects in multi-million dollar corporate events .
