October was an exceptionally busy month, and one of its highlights was attending the New Zealand Magic Convention. I’ ve been to conventions around the world, but few have offered such a complete experience. From the spectacular Queenstown scenery and some of the best food I’ ve enjoyed to the warmest, friendliest atmosphere, this convention had it all. You can read more about it in this issue of VANISH.

Our featured artists this month include Mind2Mind. James and Marina have worked incredibly hard to build an international reputation, and we take an exclusive look at their extended engagement in Las Vegas. If you find yourself in Sin City, I highly recommend seeing their show.

We also bring you the stories of two remarkable performers. Aravind V. K., originally from India and now based in the United States, has contributed to VANISH before. I’ m delighted to share more of his journey and the experiences that have shaped his career. Dr. Mary Ann Campbell has also achieved remarkable things, combining magic with her work as a keynote speaker and educator. Her lifelong commitment to education and magic is truly inspiring, and her story is a wonderful example of how magic can enrich other professions.

Nigel Harrison returns with another complete set of working plans— this time, showing us how to vanish an elephant. His thinking is always inventive and unexpected, and it’ s exciting to see so many readers building and performing the creations featured in VANISH.

I hope you enjoy this special issue. We’ re proud to bring you a magazine filled with original ideas, inspiring stories, and practical material for magicians everywhere.
