MOVING COUNTRY
As you read this , I will be in the last stages of packing up our 20-foot container as we prepare to move from Canada to New Zealand to live . We have been planning this for quite some time and COVID has certainly made it a much more stressful and difficult move . This is the last edition to be done in Canada and the next one will come from New Zealand . If you are sending items for review , please email me personally and I will give you our New Zealand address .
As most of you know The Amazing Johnathan passed away in February . I think Johnathan must be one of the most copied acts in magic , but there was , nor will be , anybody who can perform his material like he did . Nick Lewin has written a very personal memory of Johnathan and we share it as a tribute to this legendary comedian .
This issue has one of the most important stories I feel we have ever printed in VANISH . Christopher W . Barnes , known as Christopher T Magician , writes about his personal journey dealing with depression . This is a topic that not many people are willing to talk openly about , and I want to thank Christopher for allowing VANISH to run this amazing story .
Our double cover features Alana , who is an incredible magician who offers such a unique and fresh approach to magic . Thank you to Connie Boyd for another great article for her Magical Women series .
You will notice that the review section is smaller in this edition , this is because all the review items ended up being packed in a box which was packed in the container . All going well , we will have our regular number of reviews in the next section .
Onwards and Upwards
