So ..... I realize having the Magician appear behind a door is not a new concept . What you will find with “ Who ’ s There ” is a reimagining of this age old effect . Although not practical for the average performer , this would make a pretty snazzy opening illusion for any theatre show .

This was a challenging design . In-fact , what you see here is the sixth iteration . The deceptive base needed a lot of rework to get the look I was going for while keeping it as “ slim ” as possible . In function , key layers rely on the venue having a dark curtain to the rear . Some basic structure to the lighting will also be required in supporting the overall deceptiveness of the base .
