GROWING IN THE ART OF MAGIC - PART TWO
If you could learn just one effect from any magician ( living or dead ) what would it be ? Would it be Blackstone ’ s Dancing Silk ? Copperfield ’ s Flying ? Lance Burton ’ s Dove Act or ? This was the question I found myself asking in the Spring of 2014 as I headed off to McBride ’ s Magic and Mystery School in Las Vegas to do a performance residency with master magician Jeff McBride . For me , the answer was simple , I wanted to learn Jeff ’ s incredible piece The Rainmaker . With just two small bowls he is able to transform any audience into believing that there is real magic . When describing Jeff McBride ’ s water bowl routine Eugene Burger observed :

In 2014 Jeff McBride announced his Magical Masterpiece series where dedicated students of magic could come to Las Vegas and learn some of his signature routines . When I received this email , I was dumbstruck that the opportunity was being offered to the magic community . I had to read it again and after using my asthma inhaler ( really !) I spoke with my wife about it . It was quickly decided that I would attend . I hope that your partner is as supportive of you as my wife is of my magic . I have to tell that this residency experience
