V9K1E6 CANADA MAGIC CLUBS The last edition of VANISH saw more emails come in than any other as Jeff Christensen's new column on Education and Magic really struck a cord with numerous magicians around the globe. Jeff received many complimentary emails from those already working in that field or wanting more information. Plus … he has some terrific articles coming up and I'm very excited to say I’ve been invited to partake in one for the May issue. My column on Magic Clubs really hit a nerve and I was inundated with correspondence. Over the next few months I will publish some of the wonderful comments and suggestions I received. You will also see a new related series by the Vice President of the IBM, Alex Seaman. Having input from a major organization is a step-forward trying to preserve the traditional clubs we have been used to from fading away. Please make sure you take his survey so he can continue to help the organization grow. Our cover story on Mike Michaels is something I've been looking forward to publishing for some time. In my correspondence over the years with Mike I have always found him incredibly helpful and generous with his time. Charles Bach has known him for over 20 years and asked Mike the right questions when it comes to building original illusions and taking a concept to creation. I'd also like to welcome Jim Sisti to the VANISH magazine family. Jim's magazine, entitled Magic Menu, was one of my favorite periodicals. Over the years he has written for Genii and MAGIC with regular columns. Jim has so much experience in such a wide variety of performance areas that his knowledge will help and delight many. If you have any products you would like to get reviewed please drop me an email. We pride ourselves on honest reviews …by magicians with over 30 years experience. They are well versed in the craft of magic , magic history and tricks/books/DVD’s that have come before. With so many magic products on the market it is easy for items to go unnoticed. Please note I’ve made advertising easy and affordable and we can even design your advert. The key to advertising is to keep your name in front of the readers. The best adverts are ones which change monthly and are not filled with too much text. Remember that VANISH is an interactive magazine, so you want to design an attractive piece that will invite the readers to click and go to your link. Paul Romhany COPYRIGHT All rights reserved.
