It all started with many , many people asking Charlie repeatedly " When are you going to write a book ?" It turns out writing a book is not for the faint of heart . Charlie shared , “ Put it this way : I won ' t be writing another .”

Both Charlie and Sherry have been concentrating on the book for the better part of a year .

Charlie quips , “ It took around six months and forty years . I ' m happy that Artificial Intelligence played no role in it . Neither did actual intelligence . Another good thing : It is printed on two-ply in case there ' s another pandemic ”.

I do adore his sense of humor .

In truth , it was a challenging process and there were some learning curves along the way . They had to make brutal decisions about which magic material and subject matter to keep and which to eliminate . Charlie elaborated , “ At one point I had eight “ Coins to Glass ” routines . This eventually got narrowed down to three .”

Once they determined the content the book would include , Charlie began writing and Sherry began scrutinizing . Not an easy task , but with the discipline , diligence and patience of a trained juggling expert and a ballerina , they efficiently completed that phase of the process .

Next Charlie made an extensive shot list for the photos to visually complement and support the text .

We all know “ a picture is worth a thousand words ” and the importance of quality , concise photos to accurately reflect the written instructions . In this case , the words required a thousand pictures .

They contacted their good friend , professional photographer Richard Faverty in Las Vegas and scheduled intensive photo shoot sessions .

Richard is very experienced with magic photography and his expertise and experience were key to the success of the magic documentation . It also helped that they were efficiently organized and Charlie had a clear vision of what he wanted each photo to demonstrate .

Together they photographed thousands of detailed pictures to enhance and visually demonstrate the magic moves and techniques .

They are and have always been inspired and stimulated by art and artists . Their home is filled with wonderful
