Guy Bavli : Yes , that ’ s right . Our good friend , Haim , who created “ Magic Interactive ” in 2001 , possesses a superb technological inclination and is a mentalist way ahead of his time . He was the one responsible for approaching Amir and yours truly with that inciting challenge of creating an effect which would be suitable for our new reality of Zoom shows … and this was essentially how our inaugural creation , The BM Project , was born ! The three of us were also deeply focused on a mission of finding various solutions to the biggest problem that we as performers face when doing shows on a virtual platform : How do we successfully create the credibility needed to WOW the audience remotely ? This was what we had spent our entire lives developing and working for . It was at this point when necessity met creativity .
Haim Goldenberg : We shared a whole lot of light-hearted moments too during our entire creative process . I still remember the first time when Amir was excited to show us a cool concept he came up with over Zoom
10 SEPTEMBER | 2023 but his camera quality was just so bad that Guy and I simply couldn ’ t see anything other than dark cards ! There were plenty of laughs and that was how it all started but most significantly , this joke made Bakore Magic a hit . This was nothing short of a Eureka moment for us and it opened the floodgates of creation and creativity . In fact , it was with this realization of the power and possibilities of The BM Project that the perfectionists in us strived for more . We ended up creating seventeen more effects specially tailored for an interactive online platform , all stemming from our core necessity of finding sufficient performance material with enough substance to hold an entire show on Zoom and own the stage , so to speak .
Vanish Magazine : Indeed ! The BM Project received much love and rave reviews from the global magic community from the very moment it first came out . As a matter of fact , every subsequent release from Bakore Magic has been an instant hit and created much buzz on magic forums and Facebook groups . Did it ever occur to any of you that your work would revolutionize magic as it did ?
