And don ' t forget about dessert ! You also need to know the ins and outs of the restaurant itself . Which door is the kitchen entrance ? Which one is the exit ? You don ' t want to be tripping over trays of food and causing a scene . Finally , when people come in , be sure to greet them with a smile and a " hello ." And whatever you do , don ' t perform magic while they ' re eating ! No one wants to be interrupted while eating , have food go cold or have sauce and food on your props . Just be friendly , helpful , and keep the laughs coming .
I get asked all the time How to get a restaurant location ? I would go into the restaurant and eat and see if that restaurant would be a good fit for you . Ask for the manager ’ s business card . Ask yourself if they are too busy ? Do they need entertainment running around ? Are there enough patrons and do you think that they can afford you ? Would they pay you money ? How much are you worth ? Ask yourself , if you were a restaurant owner how much would YOU payout each week to have YOU come in and entertain ?
