However , I always fulfilled a role that someone else had cast me in . When I stopped dancing , I felt like I ' d lost the thing that made me the most attractive . I ' d lost my ' sexy ' and didn ' t know how to get it back ! Dancing is the ultimate way to connect with your feminine energy and that , to me , is the real ' sexy '. If someone is trying too hard to be sexy , it often has the opposite effect . I see other magicians and circus performers who ' try ' to be sexy because they think that is what people want from a female on stage , they think that it ' s something ' put on ' outside of themselves and it can end up being trashy or tacky ( although there is definitely an audience for that too )."
" There ' s a way to be subtly sexy as a performer in the way you move , the way you talk , the confidence you radiate , playful humor and keeping an element of mystery . I love that the variety of adult-only and family shows I perform in have allowed me to explore all of the versions of myself ."
" Ultimately , it helps to not take yourself too seriously ! I literally start with a somewhat real and self-deprecating joke which immediately seems to put the audience at ease ( and on your side ). Laughing at yourself really helps break down that ' illusion ' of being on a pedestal , out of reach or just one-dimensional ( people probably have a pre-conception of you just from the poster / marketing materials ). Make yourself relatable , make the audience see something in you that resonates , touches , moves , inspires or just makes them laugh . Be a little real- natural authenticity will make you a lot easier to watch . Sure , you may be playing an elevated or caricatured version of yourself- but make sure it ' s still you ."

" I was initially asked to become a magician while I was producing , but I felt completely out of place next to industry giants like FISM winner Yu Hojin , whom I consider the best of the best . These magicians had perfected their craft over decades , and I admired them immensely . However , their encouragement sparked a desire in me to at least consider the challenge . When magicians like Kevin James , Dan Sperry , and Luis De Matos told me I should be a magician , I finally began to take the idea seriously , although it took years before I actually started working on it .
