Paul Gertner interviews Boris about his style of magic , his recent FOOL US appearance where he FOOLED Penn & Teller and his background and how he found his way as a world-class magician .

When I unexpectedly ran into Boris Wild at the buffet at the Rio Hotel in

Las Vegas during the first week of March , 2020 , Boris was excited . But that is not unusual , Boris is always excited … this time it was different . I could sense a bit of nervous apprehension , and I understood why . Boris was in Las Vegas to tape his first appearance on Penn & Teller : Fool Us , and that alone is enough to make anyone a little nervous . As he teased me with what he had planned for Penn & Teller , I knew what he was feeling . “ Paul I created a trick just for Penn & Teller and I ’ ll never be able to do this trick again .” Boris Wild was playing on the edge , he wondered if his crazy idea would work . He would have his answer in less than 12 hours . I was excited for him , too .
Coming up a creative idea to present on Fool Us is quite a challenge . Coming up with an idea that incorporates Penn & Teller into your act after seven seasons is darn near impossible . Boris , however , came up with a very clever twist . As viewers of Fool Us know , at the end of each performance , Penn , speaking for both himself & Teller , explains to the audience , in code , how the duo thinks the trick is done . Boris decided it would be even more interesting if the audience could hear what Penn & Teller are thinking not only after the performance , but
