A few months back Hal Meyers suggest I take a look at a Spanish magician named Jesus Hausson . After watching him online and reading all about him I couldn ' t believe I wasn ' t aware of him . I am so glad Hal was able to introduce his friend of over forty-years and make us all aware of this wonderful performer . Spain has produced some of the world ' s most talented magical entertainers and Hausson certainly joins the list of those we all know .

Coincidentally we also visit Spain for one of our product highlights , Masterclass by Juan Tamariz and Dani DaOrtiz . The highlights are recent releases I feel deserve more than just a regular review . They go the extra mile and offer something truly unique , a very high caliber that might otherwise get lost in the review section . I urge you to always check these out because often they aren ' t featured in any other magic publication .

One of the greatest tools a magician currently has is the Internet and Peter Paxx interviews a marketing guru , delving into using social media to market your brand . This article reveals some terrific ways we can use this medium to sell ourselves .

I would also like to thank The Magic Circle in London for recently hosting a VANISH MAGIC lecture . It was funtastic . I was able to bring the magazine to life with special guests including Nick Lewin , Louie Foxx and Felicity Fields . It was an hour and a half sharing loads of tips , lots of magic and thoughts from contributors . Who knows , down the road I might do this again making it available to subscribers . After the lecture we stayed around for another hour to answer questions and just have fun . The Canadian Association of Magicians announced this month a wonderful competition and a way to help creative magicians . If you have ever thought about releasing a trick to market then this could be an opportunity to get your foot in the door and have your trick sold by the world ' s large magic supplier .
