MY THOUGHTS : This book will give you a great insight in tot he creative mind of Mark Chandaue . His routines are extremely well constructed and non-nonsense , direct and hard hitting mentalism . This is the type of book you could easily build a career from using this material .
One of my favorite essays in here is on Routining and Scripting . There really isn ' t
" One of my Top 10 books on Mentalism . This is packed with solid routines and great essays ." - Paul Romhany enough out there on this and Mark covers it so well . He makes so many valid points and one I often see is people can be robotic or inflexible . He talks about this and reminds us that we are working with real people . He covers this so well and it is something everybody needs to read .
Included with the book are a series of special laminated cards using Astrological signs . Ophiuchus for example is a routine where you give a reading and at the end tell a person their birth sign . He also goes on to share two more advanced versions of this routine where you can give several readings and birth signs including a birth date .
Name and Space is another favourite and is a great way to do some mind reading and getting the message across that you don ' t use Social Media to find out about people whose minds you read . These days this is very important because anytime you give information people can easily flip it off by saying , ' You read my Facebook profile .' It ' s a modern day problem mentalists now have .
The Present is very close to my heart as I have released and printed similar ideas ( as have others ) where you have a gift and open it to find the prediction ( gift ) inside with price tag , etc . Mark offers some great work on this and in particular the justification for having a prediction inside a box . This makes a great stand-up routine .
There is something for everybody in this amazing book . From close-up to standup mentalism . I can ' t recommend this enough . It is filled with great artwork by Phil Smith and has everything from Book Test routines to gimmick envelopes and lottery predictions . If I could give it SIX stars out of FIVE I would !!
