THIS MONTH

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026
Here we are in 2026, celebrating the 15th year of Vanish Magic Magazine. What an extraordinary year 2025 was for Vanish— being voted the top magic magazine in the world at FISM, receiving the Los Angeles Tribune Media Award, and publishing a year filled with outstanding articles, essays, and featured artists.
The true highlight for me, however, was publishing Connie Boyd’ s remarkable book, The Power of Magical Women. There is nothing else like it in the world of magic. The book celebrates more than 70 incredible women who have carved meaningful, lasting careers in our art. The special edition is now available and is truly something special. It’ s almost sold out, so if you’ d like a copy, visit www. thepowerofmagicalwomen. com and order today. The ergular edition is available on Amazon.
Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be an exceptionally busy year. With plans for a television series currently in the pipeline, my time will be split between Vanish, television projects, and creating magic for social media. Add performing and lecturing to the mix, and it’ s clear there’ s an exciting— and demanding— year ahead.

48-56
I’ m especially pleased to feature two performers on the front and back covers whom I’ ve had the pleasure of seeing live. Natasha Lamb brings her background of theatre into every performance, with a natural ability and confidence that shines through each time she takes the stage. Mysterion offers a completely different approach to mentalism— after watching him, you genuinely start to believe what you’ re seeing is real. His work has a vintage feel that I love, paired with a fresh and compelling take on mind reading.
This issue is packed with strong material, and I’ m always excited when Nigel Harrison shares an illusion with our readers. A subscription to Vanish is worth it for this illusion plan alone. It’ s ideal for the solo performer— and one I may even be tempted to build myself.
Enjoy this issue, and rest assured, I have some exciting plans in store for 2026.
