One of the Assistants then steps onto an apple box that has been placed at the base of the platform , opens the door and steps through the door . It is obvious to the audience that there is nothing to be found ( image 3 ).

The Assistant steps down stage through the door , closing it behind herself . Both

Assistants again take there places at opposite sides of the platform .

The sound of a doorbell is heard , the door opens , and standing behind the door is the Magician ( image 4 ). He walks through the door and down stage to greet the audience .
