You now put the signed card back in the small stack and control it
2 to the bottom . I perform my Charlier Control which I teach in my lecture notes . You can use any method you like that gets the cards on to the bottom of the stack with a finger break .

As you reach to pick up the glue stick with the left hand , your right hand goes OVER the top of the ribbon spread and drops the signed card on top . The larger action of picking up the glue stick covers the smaller action of dropping the signed card on top of the ribbon spread . See drawing 2 and notice the placement of the right hand . This is the reason the glue stick is placed to the right of the ribbon spread in front of the top card . You want the dirty work to be as far away from where the spectators are looking so make more from moving the glue stick .

The audience thinks the signed card is still in the stack in your hand . This stack is placed in your mouth as in drawing 3 then take the cap off the glue stick .

You are now going to spring the stack of cards in your LH into the air . As you are setting this up , again all eyes are on the cards , the RH puts the glue stick next to the top signed card on the table . See drawing 4 . This happens VERY quickly , just a dab and stab .
What follows happens very quickly and is unseen by the audience . The action of the cards being sprung into the air covers your RH quickly putting the tip of the glue stick on top of the signed card and then thrusting it into the flying cards .
To the audience it looks like you ' ve thrown the cards in the air and caught on the end of the glue stick .
