Final Thoughts
Some people have reached out , asking me to keep animals out of my antics , while others simply suggest leaving the poor creatures alone . Personally , the only time I used a living being for an effect was when I had pet rats and wanted to record a video .
In the video , an illustration of a rat was shown going into a wooden box . The box was closed with the illustration inside , mystical smoke appeared , and when the box was reopened , a real rat emerged unharmed .
Although the visuals were captivating , I didn ’ t enjoy the experience and have since explored other avenues , as illustrated here .
While taxidermy can understandably seem macabre to some , I find it quite enlightening . It combines multiple aspects , such as anatomy , chemistry , and zoology , to name a few .
From a performer ’ s perspective , I can assure you that the versatility and impact of incorporating such props are unique , mesmerizing , and memorable for my audience . It ’ s a must for anyone looking for that je ne sais quoi in their repertoire !
