what life was like growing up ? M - I grew up in a tiny little village in England . My family never had much money and looking back , that was a blessing . I was taught to create and make , read books and write stories . My dad was a performer and I vividly remember reading his scripts and listening to his rehearsal tapes . I was captivated by everything to do with the stage . My mum is the kindest and funniest person I know and she inadvertently taught me timing and the need for an emotive hook . My grandma — well , she is my hero ! You know the feeling of wonder and astonishment magic can give ? That is exactly how my grandma makes me feel every time I see her . I attended a performing arts school once a week and still to this day remember the feeling of comfort the stage gave me . It has always been my happy place ! My mum often says that before I could walk , I could dance and before I could talk , I could sing . She then points out that the singing was rarely in tune ! N - I was a very quiet child and my first love was dancing . I watched Swan Lake when I was very small and knew from that moment I wanted to be on stage . The lavish costumes , the bold sets , the precision and talent amazed me ! On my sixth birthday I was given a small plastic stage with a microphone which was set up in my bedroom . Almost nightly , I would put on shows for the family . My sister is deaf and my dad has always had problems with his mobility , putting on shows made them smile and brought us all together . I danced and sang through my childhood attending as many classes as I could !

M - Magic is my first thought in the morning , my last thought at night and nearly every thought in-between those times . I honestly cannot focus on much else , it is always at the forefront of my mind . Magic has given me the chance to create and see my creations come to life . It has allowed me to travel the world and connect with people of all backgrounds and beliefs . It also inadvertently introduced me to the lady who will soon be my wife . N - For me , magic has opened doors that I truly never thought could be opened . I am immensely proud to be a magician and hope more than anything to leave a positive and memorable mark on our industry . I also see magic as a blessing to inspire people to follow their dreams and believe that anything really is possible .
V - Who are your inspirations ? M - My main inspiration comes from the theatre . If we are not performing , you can almost certainly find us in an auditorium watching something . We try to watch everything , inspiration can come from anywhere . I am also a huge wrestling fan and for my money Mick Foley is the greatest storyteller the squared circle has ever seen . Studying him is a masterclass for any performer ! As for magic , there are so many people who have inspired me over the years ! I could fill this entire magazine with names and reasons . The very first magician I ever reached out to was Marc Spelmann . He replied almost immediately and couldn ’ t have been kinder or more gracious with his
